I love our region’s church leaders — we are all on the same team!
This week I caught up with my buddy, Peace Lutheran’s Matthew Hauser, who is a fantastic pastor in our area.
Later that same day I met up with some church leaders from Hopevale Church who were hanging out at Life Church.
When we started Life Church Michigan from scratch a couple years ago, from Day One I told our team that we would always, always seek to be a blessing to other churches and ministries.
We will never act like we are competing with other churches and we will always speak highly of other church leaders, even when they misunderstand our motivations.
Listen, don’t ever believe the lie that we are “competing” within the Body of Christ — No! Together, we are COMPLETING the Body of Christ!
One of the greatest church leaders I know is Perry Noble. I first connected with Perry back in 2005 when blogging was fresh and new. In fact, it was through my blog that Perry hired me onto the Executive Staff at NewSpring Church in Anderson, South Carolina!
I learned SO MUCH as the pastor of Fuse. When you are rubbing shoulders with a staff full of world-class leaders in a fast-paced, growing environment, it feels like you’re receiving a doctorate in leadership from Perry!
Perry is the man who looked me in the eyes and changed my life forever: “Jonathan, you need to go plant a church!” He has been a mentor, cheerleader, and godly example ever since and I am thankful to the Lord for his influence in my life and ministry.
In 2010, I had the privilege to be personally coached by Perry and it was like drinking from a firehose. Everything Perry taught me about being a lead pastor in those days have contributed to the wild ride and fast-growth we are now experiencing at Life Church Michigan. When we launched in 2013, he even filmed this video to surprise one of our Lifers at their baptism!
Amber and I have a deep respect and love for Perry. He personally invested in our family in 2011 and his generosity toward us was instrumental in the adoption of our daughter. In short, I really do love Perry Noble.
And so I am excited to welcome Perry to the Life Church stage on Sunday, September 24th! I believe that God is going to use Perry during our morning worship experiences to impact many lives for time and eternity. If you’ve never heard Perry preach live before, hold onto your fork and get a small taste from his appearance at Elevation Church last week!
Because of the high-demand for seats at Life Church’s Saginaw Campus on Sunday, September 24th, free tickets are available online (first come, first served)! Get your free tickets here and share with your friends!
Leadership Training Event with Perry Noble
Life Church will also be holding a private Leadership Training Event with Perry Noble that evening from 6-7:30pm for our Lifers at Life Church. We love the men, women, and teens who are fully committed to doing whatever it takes to reach more people far from God through Life Church. This event is one way we are pouring into our volunteers and investing in their spiritual development. To become a Lifer, simply register for one of our upcoming NXT STP Classes this August or September!
During our staff meeting this past week, I shared with our team my heart for area church leaders. When a leader gets better, everyone gets better!
As a staff team, we made the decision to open up our private leadership training with Perry to area pastors and church leaders! We don’t have an agenda or product to push; we simply want to bless the Body of Christ and see all of us get better together.
If you are a church leader in the Great Lakes Bay Region or know of one, please pass this on to them: we have a limited number of seats for area church leaders. We want your church leaders to feel refreshed, encouraged, equipped, and challenged for the Fall season! This event will sell out (it’s free!), so reserve your free tickets now!
